Bilateral relations were strained by some border crossing incidents and the treatment of a maid that resulted in some protests in Jakarta, the Indonesia capital city against its neighbor Malaysia.
Now Persatuan Sejarah Malaysia is organizing a Dialogue in Johor Bahru in October 1-3, 2010 to explore the collective memory and provide an awareness for the prosperity of Malaysia and Indonesia.
Malaysia's representatives come from the Association Branches throughout Malaysia that deliberates on various topics and working papers.
